Parents concerned about their young person’s mental health or behaviour - Parenting help
Young people experiencing anxiety, school refusal, or emotional overwhelm
Neurodivergent young people (ADHD, autism, masking, burnout)
Families navigating eating challenges, including ARFID-type patterns
When Your Young Person is not Themselves
Young people can struggle in ways that are hard to name. Sometimes this shows up as anxiety or low mood. At other times, it appears as school refusal, withdrawal, conflict at home, friendship difficulties, perfectionism, sensory overwhelm, or food-related stress.
There may also be a sense that something isn’t right, even if it’s difficult to explain.
I provide counselling in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne and online throughout Australia for young people experiencing:
Anxiety, worry, panic, and ongoing overwhelm
Low mood, depression, hopelessness, or loss of motivation
School refusal, TAFE or university stress, perfectionism, and burnout
Social anxiety, bullying, and friendship or relationship difficulties
Family conflict, separation, blended family dynamics, and major transitions
Neurodivergence-related challenges, related to autism, ADHD, masking, and burnout
Restrictive or sensory-based eating, food-related anxiety, ARFID type patterns, and NDIS related support needs
Counselling offers a space where these experiences are taken seriously and explored without judgement.
How Counselling Can Help
In our work together, your young person can begin to:
Feel calmer and more able to manage anxiety and overwhelm
Understand their emotions, nervous system, and patterns
Develop practical tools for stress, low mood, and daily challenges
Improve communication and reduce conflict at home
Build confidence in friendships, identity, and decision-making
Counselling is not about forcing young people to talk or pushing change before they are ready. It is about creating enough safety and trust for honest reflection, practical support, and meaningful progress.
